Modifications:

- Removed the centre silencer and replaced it with a straight though pipe from a GL
- Replaced the back box with an "absorption" type Janspeed silencer - now very loud.
- Fitted a Pipercross bolt-on filter and replaced the carb jets, which were 117/120 (main/2ndary), with 130/140 jets
- Fitted an e-tech top strut brace. RR figure of 97bhp. This may be a bit optimistic but it certainly felt much quicker.
- Head off, valve guide seals replaced, skimmed, 3 angle valve seats cut and Catcam fast road camshaft fitted by QEP
- Replaced the PiperX with a K & N
- Fitted -30mm Jamex front struts and springs, Gmax rear dampers, rear lowered by 100mm
- Fitted Goodridge Stainless Steel brake pipes all round and EBC Greenstuff pads.
- Fitted a Mountney steering wheel and ditched the rear seats, parcel shelf and spare wheel, weighs 760kg with 1/2 tank of fuel and no driver.
About to get it RR'd again to see what the headwork has achieved.
Future plans are 306DTurbo front brakes, lower and stiffer front springs, set of slicks for track day work.
Ambitions, finances allowing next year, are fully ported and gas-flowed head, twin 40 carbs, 4-1 exhaust manifold. This idea may be replaced by just buying a gti
